Eragon Audiobook is not only an audibook, but an experience for the listener. The story is awesome and Doyle does a fantastic job of telling the story. I would recommend this audiobook to anyone, any age. It is very entertaining and hooks you from the beginning. My children from age 6 and up loved it too. I have listened to it several times now and it gets better every time.
Doyle’s range of accents is perfect for the multiple characters of this epic….On paper, Eragon is a sprawling fantasy, filled with obvious nods to Tolkien and too many convenient plot devices. But on audio, Eragon Audiobook fills the ears with vivid characters, witty dialogue, and nail-biting battle scenes set in a magical world where a beautiful blue dragon and her rider are at the noble center of it all.
A must read for Fantasy Fiction fans. Dont forget audiobook 2, Eldest, after listening to this one. It was just as good!!
Introduce to Eragon Audiobook
Eragon Audiobook free is the first audiobook in the Inheritance Cycle Audiobook series by Christopher Paolini. Perfect for fans of Lord of the Rings, the New York Times bestselling Inheritance Cycle about the dragon rider Eragon has sold over 35 million copies and is an international fantasy sensation. With newly updated interlocking art across the spines of all four audiobooks!
Eragon Audiobook is a remarkable achievement by Christopher Paolini especially when you take in consideration the tender age at which he wrote the novel. It is a tale that contains beauty and friendship, told by a young author who believes fully in the world that he has created.
On the plus side, Eragon Audiobook is enjoyable, entertaining and a book that will appeal to young adults around the world. However, on the negative side, there is a distinct lack of originality and if you were being kind you might say that Paolini was paying homage to Tolkien and Star Wars rather than simply re-writing them.
Plot of Eragon Audiobook
Eragon Audiobook tells the story of a farm boy named Eragon, who finds a mysterious stone in the mountains. Not knowing the stone’s origin or worth, he attempts to use it as payment to a butcher. A dragon he later names Saphira hatches from the stone, which was really an egg.
When the evil King Galbatorix finds out the general location of the egg he sends the Ra’zac to acquire it. By that time Saphira had been growing for a while and takes Eragon to the Spine after Ra’zac appear in their village, Carvahall. Eragon and Saphira are forced to flee from their hometown, with a storyteller called Brom, and decide to search for the Varden, a group of rebels who want the downfall of Galbatorix.

For anyone wanting to encourage their children to listen to audiobooks, Eragon is a great place to start. I wouldn’t recommend it to Tolkien fans who will certainly recognise most of Paolini’s plot ideas have been taken from Lord of the Rings. The plot is choppy at times, but bear in mind, Paolini wrote this when he was 15. I would recommend this audiobook for driving when you have all the family in the car and you need something to distract them with. The story is enjoyable and fills the ears with memorable characters, witty dialogue and some great battle scenes.
Eragon Audiobook’s Narrator
Gerrard Doyle has a strong American accent, which I thought I would dislike, but he was actually very good. Each character’s voice was distinctive, and the tone of the story was portrayed very well. Doyle captured the varying emotions of all the characters very well through his use of tone and pitch and he gave all the characters appropriate voices.
Eragon Audiobook free is a bit young and immature sounding, which is fitting as he is 15. Brom’s voice is rough and firm and then Saphira’s… well it’s a bit surprising at first but I think it is fitting for a dragon to have a rough gravelly voice. I thought the dragon voice in the movie Eragon was dreadful.
Ultimately, Doyle does a good job of Eragon Audiobook and I think it would be a pleasure to listen to for both adults and children.
